John

John is the newest member of our team based at the Head Office in Manchester and has worked in Logistics most of his adult life. As a Freight Transport Consultant, John brings a wealth of experience to our organisation. Indeed, as far back as 1984, John served a ten month tour of duty in the Falkland Islands working on the Mount Pleasant Military Airfield Construction Project. John led a team that was responsible for the despatch of goods and materials from the ‘Lay Down Area’ on the coast to the main Airport Site, Army Base and Air Force Base some 8 – 10 miles inland. This may not sound that impressive, but when you have 15 – 20,000 tonnes of materials arriving every fortnight, and there are only dirt track roads, this was quite a feat.

In the past, John has owned and run successful small and medium sized enterprises (SME’s). These Businesses included Construction and Manufacturing Companies so, he has a keen understanding of the pressures that a SME owner will face on a daily basis - when there never seems enough hours in the day. John has also worked as a Consultant Auditor; observing the way a Business operates and, recommending and implementing new systems and procedures designed to ensure that the Business is more efficient, and therefore more profitable.

Finally, John has spent time working for a huge multi-national corporation, controlling staff, goods and materials and a budget than ran into millions of Great British Pounds. When John prepares an Operator Licence Application on your behalf, or conducts an Transport Audit at your Business premises – you’re in safe hands.
Email him john@goodsvehiclelicence.co.uk.
